Pick ups or bakkies as they are called here are popular here as seen below. Three models are particularly popular and although newer models have made some inroads they are still somewhat peripheral as is usually the case in this segment. The Toyota Hilux is the top bakkie and while it has had some of its lead trimmed in recent years, it doesn’t look like yielding its position anytime soon.
